On Sunday, January 15 our high school robotics team- BAS Curiobots showed an amazing performance at FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifiers by winning a 3rd Place among 24 teams and qualified to NYC State Championship. The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a world wide robotics competition designed for high school students where they are responsible for designing, building, and programming a robot to complete set of missions on a 12x12ft game field. Our team had only 10-week build period to complete the robot and compete in an alliance format against other teams. “It’s a our first year at this contest and  I’m very proud of our team who spent many sleepless nights, learnt a lot together and enjoyed seeing so many like minded people at the competition. It was an amazing experience for everybody. Can’t wait for the State Championship.” said Ibrahim Colak, coach of the team. CONGRATULATIONS BAS Curiobots!
