On Saturday, March 4th, the BAS Science Olympiad team participated in the regionals. Science Olympiad is a science based competition that focuses on all areas of science, ranging from optics to astronomy. The BAS team consists of scientists of all ages; we have grades 6-9 participating. On this day, our team won many medals at the competition and even qualified to go to states! More specifically, we earned first and second place in anatomy and physics, second place in ecology, experimental design, and invasive species, fourth place in optics, and the list goes on! It was a beautiful moment witnessed on Saturday. There were tears being shed, but all out of happiness and joy. Our team is an example of how work does pay off. We wish them the best of luck for the next round in April!
