Brooklyn Amity School freshman got a head start on planning their future college educations with a trip to Manhattan’s Fashion Institute of Technology on May 12th. All students in attendance have expressed a desire to enter the fashion and design industry in some way. Students learned about different programs and majors offered by the school and saw the benefits of combining the art and business side of the fashion industry. After an admissions talk, students were taken on a tour of the school’s facilities, including the textile classrooms, perfume and cosmetics rooms, as well as the dorms and cafeteria. Students left feeling inspired to develop their portfolios and continue to work towards earning their college degrees.
