Distance does not erase compassion. On January 28th of 2017, the girls of Brooklyn Amity School portrayed a thorough example of compassion with their volunteer work at the headquarters of Embrace Relief in New Jersey. The struggles of the unprivileged refugees motivated our students to help them by boxing donated clothes. While seemingly simple, this pure act awakened the empathetic sentiments within the girls. Our helping hands’ club looks forward to helping out more people in the future by joining events like this.
