Brooklyn Amity School recently celebrated a significant milestone with the 2024 High School Graduation Ceremony, a day filled with pride, joy, and heartfelt celebrations. The event was graced by the presence of parents, friends, and faculty, all gathered to honor the accomplishments of our graduates.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome speech that set an uplifting tone for the day's events. The audience was then treated to a stirring rendition of the National Anthem by our talented music teacher, Mr. Kahya. This was followed by an inspiring speech from our esteemed principal, Mr. Olimi, who reflected on the journey of the graduating class and the bright futures that lie ahead.
Mr. Yasar, our Art and Design teacher, also took to the stage, sharing words of wisdom and encouragement, emphasizing the importance of creativity and perseverance. His speech was followed by a touching address from Mr. Bera, an Amity alumni, who spoke about his own experiences and the lasting impact of an Amity education.
Our Valedictorian, Ali Ergashzoda, and Salutatorian, Selim Koseoglu, delivered heartfelt speeches that resonated with both students and parents. They reflected on their academic journeys, the friendships they made, and their aspirations for the future. Their speeches were a testament to the hard work, dedication, and support from the entire school community.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of certificates to each graduate. It was a proud moment for all as students walked across the stage to receive their diplomas, marking the culmination of their high school years. To add a lively touch to the ceremony, students performed an energetic drum piece that showcased their talents and added to the celebratory atmosphere.
As the formalities concluded, refreshments were served, providing an opportunity for everyone to relax and celebrate together. A photo booth was set up, allowing graduates and their families to capture memories of this special day with fun and festive props.
