Brooklyn Amity School hosted an iftar dinner in collaboration with several esteemed organizations, including the Turkic Foundation of Brooklyn, the Turkish Cultural Center, Turkmen Mektebim, and Youth Island New York. The event brought together a diverse group of attendees, including students, parents, and community leaders, for an evening of unity and celebration.
We were honored to welcome special guests District Attorney Eric Gonzalez and Senator Roxanne J. Persaud. District Attorney Gonzalez, known for his dedication to justice and community engagement, has been instrumental in advocating for the rights and safety of all Brooklyn residents. Senator Roxanne J. Persaud, a tireless advocate for education and social justice, has played a pivotal role in shaping legislation to improve the lives of New Yorkers.
Their presence added to the significance of the occasion, highlighting the importance of fostering connections and building bridges across communities. Together, we shared in the spirit of Ramadan, breaking bread and strengthening bonds of friendship and understanding.
As we reflect on this memorable evening, we extend our gratitude to all who joined us and contributed to the success of the iftar dinner. It is through events like these that we reaffirm our commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
